Our move to a polytechnic campus solidifies our promise to provide a small campus atmosphere with a professional learning environment built on theory, cutting–edge research and industry application. As a student, you will bring concepts and theories to life by combining active classroom learning and project-based work. 

Students can choose from 16 undergraduate programs, a Graduate Certificate in Unmanned Aircraft Systems-Cybersecurity and a Professional Master of Technology, making the university an equally diverse community of traditional and nontraditional students. Kansas State Polytechnic is proud to be one of four campuses in the Kansas State University system. 

Kansas State University is a research, land-grant institution, founded in 1863. Ranked among the top 75 public universities in the United States, K-State is on its way to become a Top 50 public research university by 2025!

There are around 700 students enrolled at K-State Polytechnic. More than 140 students from around the world, representing over 61 different countries make up the K-State Polytechnic family, as well as students from every state in the United States. Nearly 85 percent of the student body is Kansas residents.

LocationKansas State University’s Polytechnic Campus is located in Salina, Kansas. With a population of about 50,000 residents, the city of Salina offers the perfect blend of big city amenities and small-town ambience and charm. Salina has a strong arts scene and boasts many musical and cultural events, sports facilities, restaurants and shopping areas. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the downtown district within Salina, walking trails and more than 700 acres of parks, as well as lakes and the nearby Flint Hills. Salina is only an hour’s drive to the Manhattan campus and the state’s largest city, Wichita.
