Leaders Of ASUU Attacked By NANS

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on Saturday asked the initiative of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to return to arrangements with the Federal Government.

“There is requirement for ASUU to proceed with its arrangements with the Federal Government to locate a shared conviction to determine issues that prompted the association’s continuous strike,” NANS National Public Relations Officer, Mr. Bestman Okereafor, said.

Okereafo, in an announcement on Saturday in response ASUU’s risk not to suspend its activity included: “We think about this choice as malevolent and not to the greatest advantage of Nigerian understudies.

“We think about how the waiting debate will be settled if gatherings are boycotted.

“We are approaching the authority of ASUU to turn around its choice and consider coming back to the transaction table.”

The understudies’ umbrella body additionally encouraged the teachers to move in the direction of settling the debate and suspend the strike before Jan. 1, 2019 in light of a legitimate concern for Nigerian understudies.
